徵求博士後研究員

One postdoctoral position is available in the Laboratory Branch, Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention, CDC. The Branch has an extensive program investigating the efficacy of oral pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) using macaque models of mucosal SHIV transmission. It also investigates viral and immunological dynamics in macaques infected during PrEP. The fellow will engage in bench and analytical research using infectious agents geared towards identifying highly effective PrEP interventions and understanding the correlates of protection. The candidate should have a sound background in molecular biology and early HIV/SIV infection. Experience in antiretroviral drugs, their mechanism of action, and drug pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamics is desirable.

The position is intended for recent Ph.D's (less than 2 years since the award of doctorate). This is an Associate Service Fellowship position (Title 42) with a GS11 salary equivalent ($59,987).  Initial appointment is 1 year with the possibility of extensions. Relocation expenses are not available.  Interested candidates should contact Dr. Gerardo Garcia-Lerma (jng5@cdc.gov, 404 639-4987).
